    Introduction

PDF Split Merge is a stand-alone tool for splitting, merging  PDF documents,allows you to 
split large PDF files into smaller PDF files,and merge one or more PDF files.
PDF Split Merge is offered as an easy-to-use GUI (Graphical User Interface) application, and command-line application.
The split functionality lets you split one or more PDF files based on page groups, page ranges. 
The merge functionality lets you quickly combine a collection of PDF documents and page sets.

    Getting Started

            1. Registration Window

The demo version of PDF Split/Merge software is a fully functional product with all features required for testing available. After you are convinced that the program fits your needs, you are strongly encouraged to purchase and register your copy of the software by acquiring a personal unlock key, the demo version has watermark in the generated PDF file.
In your evaluate period, you may click "Try" button to try this software.

2. PDF Split 

   This feature enables you to split single or multiple PDF document.


Buttons:

  Add Files: Add PDF documents into the File List
 
Add Directories:  Add all PDF documents in a folder into the File List
 
Start Split:         Start to Split PDF file(s) in the File List

 Split files list columns description:

            Source File:             be split of pdf files,include path, e.g. C:\pdf\input.pdf
            Pages:                     page numbers of pdf  file    
            Split Parameters:     indicate extract pages of  ranges from a PDF file, 
 
                                         e.g. 1,3;5-10;2,4,6,8-10 or Into Single Page, see follow table.
            Destination Folder:  save destination file of folder, e.g. C:\aaa\
            Output Base:          
output file base name

 Example:
            if  Source File is c:\pdf\input.pdf ,  Pages is 10 ,
                Split Parameters is
1,3;5-10;2,4,6,8-10 ,
   
             Destination Folder is C:\aaa\
                Output Base is output ,
            then result is:

                c:\aaa\output01.pdf        the file content include page1 and page 3.
                c:\aaa\output02.pdf        the file content include 5-10 of page.
                c:\aaa\output03.pdf        the file content include page2,4,5,8,9,10.

 PDF Split allows operation of individual pages, page ranges and page sets, For example: 

Split Parameters Table Description
 Into Single Page It will split the document into single pages.
2 Extract page number 2 into a new document.
2,7 Extract pages 2 and 7 into a new document.
1-9 Create a single output file containing pages 1 through 9.
10- Create a single output file containing pages 10 through end page.
8;9 Extract pages 8 and 9 into two separate files


3. PDF Merge 

    Supports document merging through its 'PDF Merge' tab.

Buttons:

  Add Files: Add PDF documents into the File List
 
Add Directories:  Add all PDF documents in a folder into the File List
 
Start Merge:      Start to Merge PDF file(s) in the File List

 Merge files list columns description:

            Source File:             be merge of pdf files,include path, e.g. C:\pdf\input.pdf
            Pages:                     page numbers of pdf  file    
            Merge Parameters:  indicate extract pages of  ranges from a PDF file, 
                                          e.g. 1,3;5-10;2,4,6,8-10 or All Pages, see follow table.
            Destination File:      save a new merge file, include path, e.g. C:\aaa\merge.pdf

  Example:
            if   Source File is c:\pdf\input1.pdf ,  Pages is 10 ,  Merge Parameters is All Pages
                Destination Folder is C:\aaa\merge.pdf , and
                Source File is c:\pdf\input2.pdf ,  Pages is 20 ,  Merge Parameters is All Pages
                Destination Folder is C:\aaa\merge.pdf
            then result is:
                c:\aaa\merge.pdf        The file contain both input1.pdf and input2.pdf 

 PDF Merge allows operation of individual pages, page ranges and page sets, For example: 

Merge Parameters Table Description
 All Pages It will merge the document all page to a new document.
2 Extract page number 2 into a new merge document.
2,7  Extract pages 2 and 7 into a new merge document.
1-9 Extract pages 1 through 9 into a new merge document. 
10- Extract pages 10 through end page into a new merge document. 


 4. Default Options 



 

Split Ranges
       Be used for default value of the Split Parameters .
       1. Into single page : It will split the document into single pages.
       2. Pages : split ranges, please see the Split Parameters table above.
       3. Per n page: It will split the document into n pages.

Merge Ranges
        Be used for default value of  the Split Parameters .
       1. All pages: It will merge the document all page to a new document.
       2. Pages : merge ranges, please see the Merge Parameters table above.

Output
        Split Destination Folder:  The split list Destination Folder default value
        Split Output Base        :   The split list Output Base default value
        Merge Destination File :  The merge list Destination File default value

Other
        View After Split/Merge
        Show Log File After Split/Merge

Document info
       Modify document information data such as Author, Subject, Title or Keywords to all generated documents.


 

 

 

 

    Running Ap PDF Split/Merge with command-line options

pdfspme_cmd.exe 

[<-SPE>   <input>  [output base] ]

[<-MER> <<-I> <input1> [range]>  []  [<-I> <input N> [range]]   [<-O> <output >] ]

[<-LOG> <filename>]

* the all options is equable in the case.

      1.Split Options

         -SPE/-SPR:

-SPE  <input>  [output base]

Split into single page.

<input>
            input file path, eg. c:\abc\input.pdf

[output base]
            output file base name, eg. c:\aaa\output

example:
            pdfspme_cmd.exe  -spe  "c:\abc\input.pdf"  "c:\aaa\output"
            if input.pdf have 100 pages, then result is:
            c:\aaa\output001.pdf
            c:\aaa\output002.pdf
            c:\aaa\output003.pdf
   
         ...
            c:\aaa\output100.pdf

-SPR  <input>  [<range> [output base]]

Split PDF documents by page numbers or custom page ranges.

<input>
            input file path, eg. c:\abc\input.pdf

<range>
            indicate extract pages of ranges from a PDF file, e.g. 1,3,5-10;2,4,6;8-10 ,
           please refer to split parameters table above.

[output base]
            output file base name, eg. c:\aaa\output

example:
            pdfspme_cmd.exe  -spr  "c:\abc\input.pdf"  "1,3;5-10;2,4,6,8-10"  "c:\aaa\output"
            if input.pdf have 10 pages, then result is:
            c:\aaa\output01.pdf        file content include page1 and page 3.
            c:\aaa\output02.pdf        file content include 5-10 of the page.
            c:\aaa\output03.pdf        file content include page2,4,5,8,9,10.

           pdfspme_cmd.exe -spr "c:\abc\input.pdf" "1,3;8-"  "c:\aaa\output"
           if input.pdf have 10 pages, then result is:
           c:\aaa\output01.pdf       file content include page1 and page 3.
           c:\aaa\output02.pdf       file content include page 8 - the end page.

    2.Merge Options

      -MER:

            -MER  <<-I> <input1> [range]>   []   [<-I> <input N> [range]]   [<-O> <output >] 

                        merge the file input1 input2 ... inputN to output file.

<-I> <input>
           input file path, eg. c:\abc\input.pdf

<range>
           indicate extract pages of ranges from a PDF file, e.g. 1,3,5-10 ,
           please refer to merge parameters table above.

<-O> <output>
           output the rusult file.


                        example:
                        pdfspme_cmd.exe  -mer  -i  "c:\abc\input1.pdf"   -i  "c:\abc\input2.pdf"   -o "c:\aaa\merge.pdf"
                        then result is:
                        c:\aaa\merge.pdf        The file contain both input1.pdf and input2.pdf 
                       
                       pdfspme_cmd.exe -mer -i "c:\abc\input1.pdf" "1-100"  -i "c:\abc\input2.pdf" "101-"   -o "c:\aaa\merge.pdf"
                       then result is:
  
                    c:\aaa\merge.pdf       The file contain 1-100 page of the file "input1.pdf" and 101-end page of the file "input2.pdf "



    3.Log file 

      -LOG:

           -LOG  <filename>

             use LOG file as report result.
